Propagation
This plant is propagated by taking cuttings from the side shoots. Simply snip the side shoots away with a sharp pair of scissors but only keep the top two inches of the cutting for re-planting. This will prevent the new plants from becoming too leggy and weak. The shorter cuttings will grow into bushier plants and will retain the strength in the newly planted stems.

Short Description
This plant is not ideal for a novice to keeping live plants as they are very demanding. The substrate should be acidic with plenty of nutrients and they do require a CO2 system running in the aquarium. They are quite a recent addition to the list of aquarium plants that are used in planted tanks but they are becoming more popular as time goes on.
