Propagation
When planting for the fist time, make sure that the top of the bulb is visible. It should produce small bulbs if kept correctly and these can be removed by lifting the plant out of the substrate and gently peeling them away and re-planting into different areas of the tank.

Short Description
This is a very hardy plant with tough leaves that fish will not eat. This makes it ideal for adding to a tank full of herbivores. The leaves can be trimmed back at the water surface if they get too long, do damage will be done to the plant by this. They do require plenty of nutrients in the water and they prefer the water to be clean as well as the substrate.
