Propagation
This plant is propagated by taking cuttings from the side shoots of the mother plant. When the cuttings are removed, break off the bottom two pairs of leaves to reveal a length of bare stem. This can now be placed carefully into the substrate taking care not to crush the stem. In a few weeks the cuttings will develop a root system to create new plants.

Short Description
This plant gets its common name from the shape of its leaves; they closely resemble leaves from the oak tree. Although these are found in the wild as marsh plants, they do grow extremely fast in the aquarium if given the right conditions. If the light intensity is low, the stems will grow shorter with a smaller gap between the groups of leaves and vice versa if the lighting is high.
