Information about care
Food and feeding
These fish are omnivores; they will accept all foods offered. Use a quality flake for the staple diet but give them treats twice a week of brine shrimp, daphnia, and blood worms.

Origin
Africa; they are found in the Congo River basins.

Sexing
They can be difficult to sex, if observed in a group; the males will display more colouration.

Short description
The Yellow Tail Tetra is a very hardy species; they will tolerate a range of water parameters. They are very peaceful but must be kept in groups of at least 5-6 fish. They prefer a planted tank with subdued lighting.
