I bought 3 x-ray tetra about 8 months ago and couldn’t find them online. My x-rays look pretty much the same except for the black spots. Do I have a different line? Or a different tetra altogether? Let me know, thanks. Oh, if it is a different fish, please let me know what it is. Thanks.

I was wondering if the black spots are a sign of maturity? Because my 3 x-ray tetras don't have them and I bought them 5 months ago, but they have acquired some very faint spots very recently. Please let me know if they get them when they mature or are my water conditions simply off?
