Information about care
Food and feeding
These fish can be a bit picky about which foods they will accept. Most will accept quality flake or small granules but they do need live or frozen foods in the form of blood worms, grindal worms and black worms.

Origin
Africa; they are found in the waterways of Cameroon.

Sexing
Males will have elongated fins that are covered in spots and have a yellow border to them. The males will display with these to the females and to other males.

Breeding
Add spawning mops or Java moss to the tank and these will be used for the eggs to be deposited on. Once spawning is complete, the medium can be moved to either another tank or a small container. The medium is placed on a layer of peat and when the eyes of the fry are visible the eggs are placed back into water for hatching.

Lifespan
The expected life span for these fish is 3-5 years.

Short description
These are a very peaceful species of fish that prefer to be kept in pairs. Regular water changes are required but they are very easy to keep happy.
