Tankmates and the tank specification: Like other cory species, they are very peaceful and you should keep at least 5 of them, they're very social and they fell good if kept in groups. Avoid aggressive fish in the aquarium, since they would attack them and beat them to death. Use many plants in the tank, so newborns will easily hide.

This is a South American fish, not a South Asian one. It’s endemic to The Rio Unini and Rio Negro in Brazil.
