Food and feeding
Quality flakes or wafers will be accepted but live or frozen foods are preferred. Blood worms, white worms, and brine shrimp are ideal.

Origin
Asia; they are found in Lake Indawgyi, Burma.

Sexing
Females will have larger ventral and pectoral fins.

Breeding
As of yet, there are no reported cases of these fish breeding in the aquarium. Spawnings have taken place but no fry have been raised successfully.

Lifespan
The expected life span for this fish is 5-8 years.

Short description
Rocks or driftwood should be added to the tank to provide hiding places. They prefer moderate water current be careful when choosing tank mates. Fast swimming fish like danios or tetras are ideal. They do prefer a sandy substrate as they like to bury themselves. They can tolerate a wide range of water parameters but high quality must be maintained.
