Propagation
This plant will send out runners spreading itself over the substrate to form a carpet. It can also be propagated by cuttings and should soon form new roots if given the right conditions.

Short Description
This is a fairly recent addition to the list of plants used in aquariums and has proven to be very popular. It is the smallest leaved plant used in aquariums and if bright lighting is used it will grow very compact. It is usually sold in its emersed state so it will need weighing down to prevent it from floating to the water surface. The use of lead weights or similar will help with this but once it has established try not to move the plant as the roots are very delicate.
