Food and feeding
Quality flakes or pellet foods make a good staple diet for Guapore cory. Twice a week treat them with blood worm; add algae wafers to the tank on a regular basis.
Origin
Corydoras guapore originates from the River Guapore in South America.
Sexing
Females tend to be plumper than the males and slightly larger.
Breeding
There are not any reported cases of this breeding in the aquarium. It is however believed that Guapore corys reproduce in the wild the same as other Corydoras, laying there eggs amongst the plants and on the substrate.
Lifespan
The expected life span of Guapore cory is 3-4 years.
Short description
This species is very distinctive. Corydoras guapore have red, blushing cheeks and a much more, rounded head than other species. Guapore corys are sometimes hard to found, this makes them a bit more expensive to buy.
