Food and feeding
False julii corys are omnivorous; they need a varied diet to keep them healthy. The staple diet should consist of quality flake and sinking pellets with algae wafers. Once a week, they should have a treat of blood worm or brine shrimp.
Origin
South America; False julii corys are found in the rivers and waterways of Colombia, Peru and Brazil.
Sexing
Adult females are slightly larger and stockier than the males.
Breeding
This species of Corydoras will either breed as pairs or in groups. Cooler water changes will induce spawning and up to 100 eggs will be laid each time. The eggs should hatch in 4-5 days, when the fry are free swimming they can be fed on newly hatched brine shrimp or Infusoria.
