Lighting Requirements
High, if this plant does not receive enough lighting the leaves will change from a glowing red to a dark brown colour and they will start to decay.

Propagation
The plant is propagated by taking cuttings, each of these should be at least 10” long. Remove the bottom leaves to reveal the bare stem and place the cutting into the substrate. They will require lots of nutrients and lighting to promote the root growth.

Difficulty
Can be difficult to grow, they require clean water so regular water changes must be carried out.

Short Description
This is beautiful plant which, when given the right conditions, will display some red foliage which contrasts nicely with any green foliage in the tank. They do require lots of feeding and always ensure that they are placed to get the maximum lighting in the tank.
